Eagle Historical Society Ice Cream Social, Sunday, July 10th

Please see the following press release for an upcoming Eagle Historical Society event:


The Eagle Historical Society and the Palmyra-Eagle Community Band are co-sponsoring an Ice Cream Social on Sunday July 10, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm to commemorate those from “The Greatest Generation” who fought and endured the devastation of WWII. The theme is “The Forties: A Sentimental Journey.” It has been 70 years since the start of the war and the concert will feature music from that time period, along with dance steps and memorabilia from the period.

We are looking for contact information on any area WWII vets so we can send them a formal invitation to be our guest of honor and included in our event. We also would like names and photos of vets who are no longer here to be part of an exhibit. Information can be mailed to:
