Dickens (Dan Stevens), the hardest-working writer in 19th Century fiction, is in need of another success and decides to write a Christmas story—but then suffers writer’s block.
To the rescue comes the first character he creates for the story, Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), who goads Dickens into completing “A Christmas Carol.”
