Nina Simone’s Mississippi Goddam was kindly recommended to me for a Monday Music song. After the recommendation, I ordered Simone’s autobiography, I Put a Spell on You, and it arrived quickly from Amazon. Of her music, I’ve been listening to The Best of Nina Simone (Verve, UMG recordings, on Apple Music).
