Not until the middle of May
Monday, April 4: The First Day of the Boys of Summer; i.e., Opening Day at Miller Park, when Hope Springs Eternal. The Phantom Forecast for the day calls for sunny skies, warm breezes in the 70’s, a sizzling brat in one hand, an ice cold MGD in the other, a bag of CrackerJack at my side. Oh, and, of course, an Opening Day win for our Home Team. Play Ball!
What if it’s really late, like end of May? That’s possible, since this may be an unusual year.
I’ll make a guess for early May.
The previous commenters are right, too. Opening Day should be a warm day – that’s the least a fan deserves.
2011 already seems like an unusual year, doesn’t it?
